*FLORIDA KEYS*

This last weekend we were invited by the Barnes family down to the Florida Keys.. We weren't sure if we wanted to go at first. We knew it'd be fun, but we hadn't had a ton of sleep and they were planning on leaving at 6:30 Sunday morning.. Saturday night Mike and I were just talking about what we should do-As we were getting ready to go to bed around 1:30, I txt Valentine and told her we'd be joining them. Mike and I didn't get to bed until 2:30ish and either did Jaxx. (I'm def going to be in trouble when we get home, so I need to get him on a better schedule) Sunday morning we got up just fine-the drive was about 3 1/2 hours.. Luckily Jaxx slept all the way their and all the way back. Mike and I were def shocked that it wasn't all it's cracked up to be. We drove the 7 mile bridge, looked at some shops, went to the beach, but it def wasn't what the pics show.. I'm not too sure if we were just in a "ghetto" location, but I was a little bummed out but all in all it was a good fun trip. It was fun playing a car game with Mike, and we had a few laughs of what we'd name businesses down in good ol Key West... Def don't think I can share these names on here hahahaha
Enjoy our pics :)

Lion Country Safari

Last week some friends of ours asked if we wanted to join them on a Safari. We were totally down to go! This Safari was about an hour outside of where we live, so it was really a nice little drive. As we arrived, I wasn't expecting it to look like it did. I was looking for more of a Jungle Fever Feel(haha) but we paid and off we went. This is the only Safari in the World that allows you to be in your own vehicle, and without a guide. All the animals were just chillin in the road, right on the grass, pretty much anywhere they wanted to be. The Lions of course were fenced, but they could def jump that thing if they wanted. It was so cool to see these animals up close and in their own little world. We had Rhinos come seriously 2ft from our car. I was def in panic mode as the thing was getting so close, I could no longer see it's horn. I told Mike that we needed to leave ASAP! We def could've rolled down our widows and touched them, but obviously we weren't allowed to do so, or even get out of our car(but who would want to right) We came upon Zebras, Ostrich's, Monkeys, Giraffe's and other animals I've never heard it. We then got into the little park they had for free. It had a couple of rides that we could go on, snakes, skunks, lizards-all the other little creatures. It was really fun to get out, and hang with some great friends we've gotten to meet down here. Here is a couple of pics from out little Safari..............

4th Of July

I had been looking forward to this day since we came out to Miami for the summer. The past 3 summers, we have not been able to see any fireworks-due to the dryness in some states. Luckily here in Florida we are in swamp land and were able to enjoy the fireworks. Jaxx was a little nervous of the big BOOMS they made(since they are allowed to have the ones that blow up in the sky) but loved the sparklers, and just being with everyone in the office! It ended up being a great night.. Hope you all had a wonderful 4th!!

Everglades Airboat Tour

I'm trying to catch up as fast as I can. I def have been slacking for the past month. So let me tell you about this FUN adventure. When we first got here, I was searching to see what kind of things we could do as a family for fun. The Airboat tours came up everywhere. Their is a couple different ones, some let you have your child on the boat, some don't. As I was looking my friend Valentine said that she saw a ticket on Groupon for $20 for 2 people(usually it is $22 a person) I totally jumped on this and invited some of the other families in the office. We all went down Tuesday morning before our husbands had to go work-it was a lot of fun. It was super hot, so I just wanted the boat to keep going and not stop. The boat ride was 30 min long, and believe it or not we only got to see 1 gator. Our instructor told us that it was a bad time to search for them, because it was a time when the females go and lay their  eggs and they are very vicious. Once we spotted one, our guide turned the boat so we kind of closed the gator in. It was scary because the boat is seriously super low to the water and you are sitting low in the boat. I was sitting on the edge before the boat left, and I made Mike switch me places. So as we approached this gator she started coming towards the boat on our side, seriously no more that 2ft away and just stared. I swear that thing could've leaped at us any moment. After the tour we got to see an exhibit their that had pigs, gators, crocs, skunks, rabbits, bobcats, and other animals. We also got to hold a baby gator! That was probably the highlight of this day. I was nervous to hold it though to be honest-even the mouth was taped shut-you just never know with these creatures. It was so neat though! I didn't know they felt the way they did.  Jaxx got a kick out of it, and that's all that mattered.. Here are some pics we took that day
