Tigers, Elephants, Monkeys OH MY

Well we decided to wake up early and take Jaxxon to the ZOO before Mike leaves(tomorrow).. We woke up around 8:30 Tuesday morning and were out of the house by 9:30-that is pretty quick for the Pease family. We made a stop at the gas station so we could grab our daily fixes :)
Remembering the ZOO last time I was there- I swear there was a lot more animals to look at! We saw NO BEARS or LIONS...WHAT?? But we did have a good time.. Jaxxon enjoyed watching the water rush in different parts of the Monkey cages instead of actually looking at the animals.. When there was no water to look at, then he'd notice the animals and start to point and say OOOOOO
He LOVED playing on the bridge they have at the kid play area, and LOVED going down the slide(of course Mike and I had to take turns going with him)
I'm glad we got to spend some quality time together before we don't get Daddy for 2 weeks... Hopefully today we can squeeze a bit more in-but Jaxx isn't feeling to well so we'll keep our fingers crossed!

OUR BABY IS 1

This little man just turned 1.. I can't believe time has flown by so fast! He is such a sweet boy and an amazing blessing in our lives. He is the sweetest boy with the BIGGEST heart, but he does have those times where he throws a fit and can be a mean little boy. Jaxxon is such a smart boy, and I'm not just saying that because I'm his mom-
He says: DaDa, MaMa, Doggies, Duck, Thank You, Greg/Greggy, Ball, Kuka: He points to everything he wants, he can wave Bye and Hi, he gives Kisses, he understands what Snuggle means, he gives Hi Fives, he knows the difference between our dogs Oakley and Chloe(meaning he knows which one is Oak and which one is Chloe) He LOVES going outside and throws a HUGE cry fit when someone goes out and he isn't either walking with them or the person is holding him.
Jaxxon walks all over the place, and I'd say his favorite food/snack is Cheetos.... That kid can point Cheetos out from anywhere. He still LOVES Mickey Mouse.. Now here I am ranting on but I am just a proud parent..

Where has the time gone? I can't believe you are already one.. It makes me so sad, and so happy at the same time. You are such a sweet blessing in my life, and bring complete happiness to me and your dad. We love you so very much, and are so excited to help you learn more and more as you get older. I'm so grateful that one day, you'll be able to hold the priesthood just like your Dad and serve a mission if you choose. I'm so grateful for you and am so proud to be your mother.
